Would like to do remake of ‘Caravan’ or ‘Farz’: Tusshar Kapoor

Actor Tusshar Kapoor feels Ajay Devgn is the right choice for the remake of the 1983 hit “Himmatwala” starring his dad Jeetendra, adding that given a choice, he would like to work on the remakes of his father’s “Caravan” or “Farz”.
“I would want to do ‘Caravan’ or ‘Farz’. ‘Caravan’ is more my age, it was a comedy as well,” said Tusshar when quizzed, which of his father’s film would he like to star in?
Sajid Khan will wield the megaphone for the “Himmatwala” remake.
Tusshar, who worked with Ajay in “Golmaal” series, says he is happy that Ajay is doing it and added: “I have worked with him, I think he is the most appropriate choice for that film. I am happy that a great team like Sajid Khan and Ajay Devgn are bringing back such a big film.”
“I am dying to see it and I am sure Ajay will give it his own spin and he’ll make it as good as the first, I am sure,” said the 35-year-old in an interview.
Tusshar describes “Himmatwala”, which also starred Sridevi, as a “trendsetting film”.
” ‘Himmatwala’ is a huge brand, it was a trendsetting film. That film started the trend of heroes and heroines dancing together, people called it P.T. exercise at that time but that trend has been going on for 30 years now. I think ‘Himmatwala’ is the film where that started,” said Tusshar.
One the most famous song from the film is “Nainon mein sapna”, which was picturised on Jeetendra and Sridevi.

‘Dil Garden Garden’ trends nationwide on Twitter in less than 24 hours!

In less than 24 hours of its online release, the first track of the forthcoming sex-com ‘Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum’ has created a flurry.

‘Dil Garden Garden’ took Twitter by storm as it was trending India-wide on Thursday at No.4 for the right reasons. It was, in fact, trending even above Vertu, Samajwadi Party & Ambika Soni.
A wide section of the industry, from Karan Johar to Sunny Leone, could not stop raving about the national hit on the virtual world.
Music composer Sachin (of Sachin-Jigar) was blessed with the best birthday gift, as his sole composition on the ‘Kya Super Kool…’ soundtrack, met with such an overwhelming response.
The funky video, choreographed by Bosco-Caesar, has been lauded for its energy, color and ‘kool’ retro look.
Anupam Kher summed up the response to the track in a short but sweet tweet: “Jai Ho”

Unlike Tusshar, John won't repeat DOSTANA for RACE 2

Tusshar Kapoor may be doing a John Abraham for KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM by coming out of the waters, a la DOSTANA. However the hunky actor has moved on for sure. For his RACE 2, he would be seeing an altogether different introduction that is expected to be a trend setter all over again. RACE 2 is a hardcore action thriller and hence doesn't really have space for any DOSTANA moment. However to justify the film's theme as well his characterisation, John has recently shot for an unbelievable action sequence that belongs to never seen before variety. The sequence also marks John's introduction in the film and is a true 'paisa vasool' moment," informs a unit member.
There is a notable entry sequence planned for John whose hot-bod is considered as an object that would be worthy enough of swooning.

Char Din ki Chandni Movie review

Movie Review (2012)
Film: “Chaar Din Ki Chandni”

Starring: Tusshar Kapoor, Kulraj Randhawa, Om Puri, Anupam Kher
Directed by: Samir Karnik
Rating: ** 1/2

Don’t ask who’s who, what’s what, and why things happen here. And your life will be much easier while watching this utterly scrambled comedy. A homage to those magnificent maestros of mirth David Dhawan, Anees Bazmi and Rohit Shetty, “Chaar Din Ki Chandni”(CDKC) takes the theme of outrageous festivity to a new high.

Characters, all 27-28 of them, are either screaming, guffawing, burping or performing one or the other bodily functions that we are squeamish about when not watching a boorish comedy.

So what’s this Chandni about? There’s a wedding at the centre of the bustling canvas. As in Karnik’s earlier comedy “Yamla Pagla Deewana” you’d be well-advised to focus hard on that wacky wedding because that’s where the army of characters, some loud others cacophonic, congregate in a combustion of comic compulsions.

Be warned. If you are allergic to toilet humour then you might find Karnik’s comedy a pain in the you-know-what. To his credit Karnik doesn’t let go of the sur of chaotic satire from the first to the last blast. His actors too are completely soaked in the hilarity. Anupam Kher and Om Puri as the two patriarchal heads of two demoniacally dysfunctional families go through the motions of free-falling slapstick without tripping over the jokes.

The rest of the vast cast features some surprising actors, like Chandrachur Singh and Anita Raj both of whom return after quite a gap. Regrettably the tightly-packed canvas allows no room for any actor to shine beyond the cheesy lines written by Amit Masurkar and Nishant Hada.

Miraculously, the love story between the star-crossed couple survives. Tusshar and Kulraj are no Romeo and Juliet. But then this is no epic love tale. The pair here is entertaining. Tusshar’s Sardar act is amusing. The packaging and presentation of the comic ambience throws forward a certain quicksilver quality of humour that isn’t meant for all tastes.

As far as ensemble comedies in Bollywood goes “Char Din Ki Chandni” is spunkier more energetic than what you’ve probably seen in the other recent ha-ha-thons. (IANS)
