Salman Khan refused to host 'Bigg Boss' season 6

It is a very disheartening news for Salman Khan and 'Bigg Boss' fans. He will no longer host controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss season 6. Salman Khan is very busy with his films and has no time to host the sixth season. ans in the fourth and fifth season but has opted out of the sixth season due to hectic schedule. However, there is no official confirmation on the same from the channel officials.

In the last season of ‘Bigg Boss’, Salman Khan was joined by his friend Sanjay Dutt and both charmed the audience with their jokes and charisma. Sallu wants Sanju to host the sixth season of the show.

Earlier there was news that the duo would co-host the 6th season of the show but now buzz is that, Salman might not be a part of ‘Bigg Boss’. ‘Dabangg’ star has asked his friend Sanjay to take charge as the host of the show but didn’t disclosed any reason.

Salman's name was dragged by contestant into various controversies. It was said that Salman showed favoritism with contestant Mahak Chahal which is why she remained in the show till the final episode. Another contestant Shakti Kapoor also spit venom against Salman after he was evicted out of the house. Actor Pooja Bedi, who also participated in the reality show, spoke against Salman after the show got over. She was kept away from the grand finale.

All these unnecessary controversy might have led Salman to decide not to host the 6th edition.

Says the source, “Salman feels Sanjay Dutt is doing a fine job on the show, and the TRPs show no substantial decline when Salman is not around. So yes, the possibility of letting Sanjay Dutt take over the anchoring of the next season of Bigg Boss completely is now being considered, though again Sanju’s schedules are water-tight too.”

Salman Khan has also approached the makers to sign Sanjay Dutt and the channel left the decision to Salman and Sanjay Dutt.

Says the source, “Sanjay Dutt was brought in to deflect from Salman’s unavailability.Now whether Sanjay Dutt will take over the show completely is a decision that the channel needs to take in the light of both the actors’ workload in 2012.”

Shahrukh-Katrina's YRF film will be titled 'London Ishq'

Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra's next directorial film starring Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma began filming recently. The cast and crew are right now in London on their first leg of filming, scheduled to last a little over a month. Since this will be Shahrukh and Katrina's first movie together, Yash Chopra has kept a lot of secrets under wraps, including the climax scene.


Now the latest buzz is that Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif's upcoming Yash Chopra film, seems to have got its final title. A leading daily recently reported that the film will be titled "London Ishq". But there is no such confirmation about the film's title either from Yash Chopra or Shahrukh Khan. This will be Katrina's first movie with SRK and the second with Yash Raj banner.

Its interesting to see the SRK and Kat’s unseen chemistry than already seen lovely frames featuring Shahrukh and lil tall Anushka in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

We first heard the buzz that "London Ishq" is a remake of the 1973 film Daag. But later, sources working on the project have confirmed that the buzz is not true.

SRK's earlier films with Yash Raj include blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil to Pagal Hai and Mohabattein. It remains to be seen what Katrina can add to the SRK-Yash Raj hit formula.

The music of the new film will be composed by A R Rahman and Gulzar will pen the lyrics. The SRK-Kat-Anushka starrer is planned for release on Diwali 2012.

Veena Malik gets 71000 marriage proposals for her swayamvar

Veena Malik has certainly hit a jackpot with her sleazy stint on ‘Bigg Boss’ and her subsequent rise to fame post her “nude” photo shoot for FHM magazine last year. After ruffling some feathers back in her homeland, the Pakistani model-turned-actress will now be seen searching for her groom on reality show ‘Veena ka Vivaah’.

Despite being the controversy queen, Veena Malik is still making the men go weak in their knees. Media reports claim that more than 71,000 men have applied to be a part of the show.

In the previous season of Swayamvar, Ratan Rajput received around 54,000 marriage proposals. Veena has also beaten Rakhi Sawant and Rahul Mahajan in the race who received 30,000 and 43,000 proposal respectively.

Talking to a leading daily, the actress said, “I`m humbled by the response I have received and thrilled that majority of the entries have come in from India. I want to thank everybody for their continuous love, support and faith in me and I hope they will hold my hand in the most important journey of my life.”

However, Rakhi refused to marry on the show and broke the engagement in a few months; Ratan Rajput just got engaged and has still not tied the knot. But, Veena ahs claimed that she would get married if she finds her ‘Mr. Right’.

In a recent interview, she said, “I seriously wish that I find my Mr Right on ‘Swayamvar’ and I am sure I will find him. If I do find him on the show, then I will definitely go for marriage.”

Despite her bold image, it seems the men are drooling over this Pakistani bombshell. She has set a record of sorts, by getting so many proposals for the new season of Swayamvar.

Neeraj Sridhar - oh yes. Starts off this soundtrack too. Papa Toh Band Bajaye is a track that already seems remixed with techno beats and tweaked voice. Ok ok one. Next, which is publicized as new 'Munni' - Anarkali Disco Chali - sung by Mamta Sharma and Sukhwinder Singh sounds forced to give a big hit. But it doesn't work as well as Munni did. [Of course, that was already a tried-tasted-readymade track] Will be hit on screen, and that's it. Doesn't work at all. Bieber/Akon influenced Right Now Now - sprinkled with Eng-Punjabi lyrics. Duh. Last original track Do You Know has been composed with 80s sound. A relief to hear Shaan-Shreya in a melodious mood after former 3 songs. Quite enjoyable song.

Just like the first part, the sequel of Housefull doesn't offer much in terms of eargasm. Sajid-Wajid scores just an average album, wish SEL were here. But what do you expect from a Sajid Khan movie after all. Music in his films, is just used as a filler. (Courtsey: dunkdaft)

Agent Vinod has only four songs and one theme track. It’s supposed to be an action-packed thriller and more songs would have surely ruined the pace of the film. Keeping the genre in mind all the tracks are slick and edgy, except one – Dil mera muft ka. If this song had not been promoted as a mujra and had been treated like just another item song, it could have worked better. The groovy beats in the background that were intended to make the song sound hip and happening, just don’t work. Interestingly, there is a remix version, which with its desi beats, actually sounds like an original song and the version that has been used in the film sounds like the remix! Sung by Malini Avasthi, this version of the mujra is more dhinchak and fun!

AV has three versions of the love song Raabta, all of them sound similar. Arjit Singh’s voice sounds quite refreshing in this number. The lyrics are romantic and the melody is haunting, suiting the genre of the film, so it doesn’t sound out of place.

I’ll do the talking tonight, sung by Neeraj Shridhar is strictly average. The ring of Boney M’s Rasputin gets lost as Pritam tries to do too many things with it. On repeated listening though, it sounds better.

Pyar ki pungi is definitely the best number on the album. If promoted well, it has the potential of becoming the next Kolaveri di. It’s got the madness, the punch and the funny lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya that will make an instant connection with the youth. The total desi beats and the cool vibe remind you of Hawa hawa.

The Agent Vinod theme is the most important track on this album. It is meant to play at various times through the film and it had to be something that could get your pulse racing. Pritam has done a great job on the number. It’s got the electronic and trance feel, making it thrilling.

Pritam has come up with a decent soundtrack to support this spy movie and it should add to the thrill quotient of the film. (Courtesy: Bollywoodlife)

Madhuri Dixit's wax statue unveiled at Madame Tussauds

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit Nene's wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds here on Wednesday. The actress is famous for her performances in 'Tezaab', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Sajan', 'Beta', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai' and 'Devdas'

The 44-year-old dancing diva is the latest Indian film star to join the top line up at the Madame Tussauds wax museum which also houses statues of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan.
