Arunoday - Mahie Gill's BUDDHA IN A TRAFFIC JAM on Naxal issue

His recent release HATE STORY was not just a good success at the box office; it was also a good enough reason for director Vivek Agnihotri to take off for a holiday with his family. Now that his holiday period has ended, Vivek is moving on to his next film which deals with a Naxal issue. Titled BUDDHA IN A TRAFFIC JAM, the film is now being readied for its theatrical release.Says Vivek, who started his career with a cerebral thriller in the form of CHOCOLATE, "This one too is a cerebral film but no, it isn't anything like CHOCOLATE. It deals with the Naxal issue and unfolds through nine chapters, just like a book."

Two item songs in ''Zanjeer'' remake, Mahie gets one

Item songs have almost become a staple in Bollywood films, and Amit Mehra who is producing the remake of 1973 film "Zanjeer" too plans to cash in on the trend by including two item numbers, of which one will be featured on actress Mahie Gill.
 "We will definitely have item numbers in the film. In fact, we have decided to go with two item numbers," Mehra told IANS.
 "The songs are a part of the script and they will be situational. One item song will be featured on Mahie and for the other, we are yet to decide whom to cast," he added.
 Mahie will also essay Bindu's iconic 'Mona Darling' in the "Zanjeer" remake, to be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film will feature southern superstar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in the lead.
 Mehra is extremely confident about Teja's acting skills, and feels he will do justice to the role.
 "When I saw his films, I decided to cast him. He is the best guy to launch. He is fluent with Hindi as well. I am sure he will justify the role," said Mehra, son of late filmmaker Prakash Mehra.
 Priyanka will join the crew of his movie by May end.
 "Priyanka is busy with her other commitments. She is confirmed for the film and will join the crew by May end. Presently we are shooting the scenes with the actors," said Mehra.
 However, music being a crucial part of movies, Mehra is yet to decided who to trust with the musical score for the film.
 "Music is certainly a crucial part of the film. But we are yet to decide who will compose the music for 'Zanjeer' remake. We still have some time to go to think about that," he added.
 The shooting of the "Zanjeer" remake began April 13 at Mumbai's Film city. It is expected to release by May 2013.
 "We will finish the entire film by this December and we plan to release the film by May 2013," said Mehra.

Mahie Gill To Turn Into Bikini Clad 'Mona Darling' For 'Zanjeer' Remake

Mahie Gill, who wowed the audiences with her bold and raunchy performance in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, has been roped in the remake of Zanjeer to reminisce Bindu's iconic character, 'Mona Darling'.
 And while Bindu sported body hugging slit-dresses in the original, Mahie will scorch the screens by slipping into a bikini and reportedly, will also do some hot love-making scenes, with Prakash Raj, who will essay the character of Teja, played by Ajit in the 1973 release.
 Gill, who will have to shed kilos to get a bikini friendly body, was initially apprehensive about the role, however on being convinced by her director she accepted the challenge.
 "I was initially apprehensive about doing the part. I wondered if I'd be able to carry it off. It was director Apoorva Lakhia who convinced me. Now I'm very excited. To recreate the original vamp 'Mona Darling' of the 1970s for today's audience is a challenge. And most of my scenes are with Prakash Raj who is a very good actor. I think I'll be able to pull it off," the Gulaal star was quoted saying.
 The makers of the film want Mahie to go beyond Bindu and to perform more 'horizontal acts' with the villain. They have even decided to do away with Bindu's cabaret and in turn will feature Mahie in a club number.
Whether Mahie will be able to pull off the role or not, well for that we'll have to wait and watch.

Mahie’s account hacked

The actress is furious with the online hacker who is sending random e-mails from her account and also has access to all her personal photographs and film scripts
 Mahie Gill is furious and the cause of her ire is the hacker who has played havoc with her e-mail ID. Her account has been sending spam and her outbox is full of messages to random people she has not e-mailed to.
 What is worrying her is that confidential information that included film scripts, her shooting schedules, personal photographs and details might be in the in-box of several people as the hacker had been busy sending e -mails from her account.
 And what compounded the problem is that she realised it only a day later after the problem ensued. Her e-mail account was hacked on March 29 but as she was shooting for the sequel of a Salman Khan starrer that day, she did not access her mail.
 The actress realised it only the next day when she logged in. Though she immediately changed her password, by then the hacker had done extensive damage forcing her to lodge a complaint.
 Says Mahie, “I have filed a complaint with the Mumbai cyber crime department. I have a lot of important information in my mail. I hope that it does not get misused.”
 Though she is currently in Jallandhar due to personal commitments, she is following the case closely. She is currently feeling handicapped without an account as she has been told to create a new one.
