Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is excited to essay underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in “Shootout At Wadala”, and he is doing his bit to carry off the role perfectly.
 “I am super excited to play Dawood Ibrahim. My homework is on. I am reading about him and doing research on him. I am all set to play the role,” Sonu told IANS.
 Sonu says “Shootout At Wadala”, based on the 1982 shootout in which criminal Manya Surve was killed, is all about gangsters.
 “It is a film based on gangsters. It’s about the rise of Dawood. It’s more of an action drama,” he said.
 While the shooting of the film has already started, Sonu will join the crew next week.
 “I will start the shooting from April 24. We will be shooting at locations like Nariman Point and Mahim (in Mumbai),” the 38-year-old said.
 The actor, who is playing a negative role yet again after essaying Chhedi Singh in blockbuster “Dabangg”, has no issues with the shade of any role.
 “I don’t believe in negative or positive roles. Cinema has changed. For me, it’s all about good and bad roles. I am just looking forward to this film,” he said.
 Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film, a prequel to 2007 film “Shootout At Lokhandwala”, also features John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar.

Poonam Pandey has always been the talk of the town and now she is also geared up to set the screen on fire with her debut film titled 'I am 18'. What's really interesting is that the director of the film already has a bold film to his credit. And with Poonam as the lead actor for his latest Bollywood venture, the sky is the limit as far as creative boldness goes. Also, the actress is reportedly getting one crore rupees for the film.

 After rejecting 30 film offers, Poonam Pandey has finally signed one, and interestingly it is pitted against the release of actor Sunny Leone’s Jism 2 this December.

 The model-turned-actor is so sure of her film’s success that she is unperturbed that it clashes with Sunny’s flick. On being probed about the film Poonam says, “I am neither competing with her nor sharing my audience. She is good at what she does and I am excellent at my job. It is a conscious decision to release our film with Jism 2. I know everyone is going to love my film,”

 National marketing head Aditya Bhatia of Eagle Home Entertainment says, “We have full faith in Poonam and are therefore riding so much money on her. We have paid her a crore and the budget of the film is around Rs 7 to 8 crores. Amit Saxena, who directed Jism, is directing our film.”

 “I’d think about it. Why would I say no?” the Mirror quoted her as saying. “It’s a great opportunity. I’d definitely go for that. “That is my job. I am a model and I would consider every single opportunity that comes my way,” she added.
 The actress shot to fame when she appeared naked for FHM India edition. The celebrity status came to her not just for posing naked but for all the charges and counter-charges that followed between her and the magazine after the pictures made headlines.
 She claimed that the pictures were doctored and called press conferences, gave away interviews and also went ahead to say that she will sue the magazine for tampering her photographs.
 Veena Malik has got an army of people in her country who dislike her so much so that her own father has disowned her still she is unfazed. She rather thinks she is doing something good for the females of Pakistan.
 Malik received death threats after the images were published, but she’s now admitted she would have no problem baring all for Hugh Hefner’s iconic publication.

Amitabh set to build college in Aishwarya's name

If the latest buzz is to be believed Bollywood Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan is going to launch a college after his daughter-in-law (bahu) Aishwarya Rai’s name in Daulatpaur.
 An aide from Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL) informed a leading daily that the Daulatpur village committee has handed over the land to Amitabh Bachchan Sewa Samiti (ABSS), a newly formed organisation and hence, the construction work will start soon.
 On January 27th 2008, Amitabh has already laid the foundation stone ‘Aishwarya Rai College’ there at the place. Initially the place would be constructed for the classes from nursery to 12 standard and then it would be upgraded to degree college.
 Bachchan has in between quite busy and his health too has not been well so he could not find time for the construction and other formalities of the college. Thus he is now all set and like to start the college’s construction very soon.

Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who could not get much noticed in her movie ‘Rockstar’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor has been churning out bigger chunks of news these days. She is on the headlines due to her alleged love affair with the Shahid Kapoor. Reports have it that both have been dating and the sources too make it confirmed that the couple seems to be in utter love. Both took a flight together to Goa where Shahid had thrown his birthday party in February.
 Now the buzz is that Nargis kissed a guy at a party thrown by Shahid Kapoor. The actress did so after she was told to kiss by the party host. Making a music album for an action-packed Bollywood thriller is a tough task but composers Sajid-Wajid have managed to hold it together even with very few songs in the soundtrack of “Tezz”.

The album boasts of two melodious songs, one item number, a catchy title track along with remixes and different versions of the same tracks to keep you hooked to it.

To begin with when you think that you have heard the best from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, you are served with something so fresh and mesmerizing that one is bound to stop and take notice. “Tere Bina” is one such track that leaves an impact with its beautiful composition.

The soulful voice of Rahat breaks boundaries of emotional constraints and revs up every love string in your body. This romantic song is very soothing to ears. It has a Sufi touch and a calculated composition makes it a winner in the album.

Sajid-Wajid have often been successful in producing such love ballads. The lyrics of the song are simple and meaningful.

This track also has a female version. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, it has beautiful renditions. There is also a sad version of the song, again sung in the soulful voice of Rahat.

Next on the playlist is “Main Hoon Shab” sung by Mohit Chauhan, which is a melodious track with a subtle qawwali flavour. The music directors have given depth to this song by blending Chauhan’s captivating voice with a good composition in a perfect way.

However, compared to the recent hits by Chauhan and those who love his tracks, it is a very plain stuff. Nonetheless, as part of the ensemble, it is wonderful track to listen. The music is light and enjoyable, while the qawwali element gives variation to the song.

“Main Hoon Shab” is followed by the item number “Laila”, which is hardly close to “Munni Badnaam Hui” or “Sheila Ki Jawaani”. It is a very average track and fails to make you groove. There are moments of energy here and there, but it fails to strike a chord.

Words too are very regular and “Laila” simply falls short of expectations. It also has a remix version.

Next up is the title track of the movie that has two versions, one sung by Shaan and the other by Sunidhi Chauhan. There is no denying of the fact that both singers have fantastic voice and they manage to bring out the energy required in this fast-paced track. This is a background score so the songs seem to tell a story.

The album falls short of expectations, but there are a few tracks that manage to bring about a smile on your face.

Producers eye Saif's daughter Sara

Saif Ali Khan’s 16 yr old daughter Sara Ali Khan turns hot favorite of the producers after she posed with her mother Amrita Singh on the cover page of ‘Hello’ magazine and young Sara has caught many filmmakers’ attention. According to mom Amrita five filmmakers approached her daughter to debut in their film but Sara is too young to venture into films.
 On contacting, Amrita confirmed “After seeing the magazine cover page, Sara has got many offers. Five eminent filmmakers have approached us and said that they wanted Sara to play the leading lady in their films.”
 But Sara’s interest lies on some other thing. Saif and Amrita’s daughter aspires to become a doctor and then she wants to go to the Yale University for further studies. Amrita who started her career at a young age wants her daughter to concentrate on studies. She does not want her daughter to take up this glamorous career at so young age.
 On one hand, Saif is busy with his films and girlfriend Kareena Kapoor while on the other hand, his daughter is planning to make Bollywood debut. Let’s see if Sara takes up acting at the young age of 16 and make it big like her dad.

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia were considered as the most charming couple but unfortunately their relationship did not meet its fruitful end. Shahid files police complaint against stalker

Shahid Kapoor surely has a lot of female fan who are absolutely crazy about him but this one female fan (or should we say stalker) has irked Shahid no end. The lady in question is the daughter of a late Bollywood actor and has been stalking and harassing Shahid for almost few months now.
 She even deliberately shifted her residence close to Shahid's Versova home so that she could keep an eye on every move of his. She has been even claiming that she is Shahid's soul-mate and wife and has become a nuisance for the actor.
 While Shahid tried to ignore her crazy obsessive behaviour initially, it now seems that he has had enough. As per reports, an irked Shahid has filed a complaint with the Versova police station against the lady for harassing him time and again.
 It remains to be seen if this move will tame the stalker.

Mallika to sing in Haryanvi

Now that Mallika Sherawat is back from Hollywood to do mainstream Bollywood cinema as the lead, she is ensuring that she gives her heart and soul to it. And in case of her film Lucky Unlucky, co-starring Sonu Sood, she is lending her voice too!

 In case you are confused, let us clarify it for you quickly. Mallika will be seen crooning in her native language Haryanvi in the aforementioned film.

As per reports, the song will be composed by Santokh Singh Dhaliwal, the one who convinced Ms. Sherawat for singing. The composer feels Mallika has a good voice and can really be a good singer. She loves the Haryanvi flavour and while talking to a daily, the actress said, “The only thing I’m worried about is people being unable to tolerate my Haryanvi accent! I am not the singing type...I don’t even sing in my shower! But I love music so I’m doing this. I will only sing for my own films and look forward to recording the song in the studio.”

 The movie will also have songs in Punjabi, Haryanvi, Telugu, Tamil and Marathi. Lucky Unlucky, directed by Afzal Rizvi, is a road movie and the music for the film will be in the languages of the cities that the characters of Mallika and Sonu would visit. The film also marks Sonu Sood's debut as a producer.

The other Bollywood actresses who have gone behind the mikes to exercise their vocal chords are Sridevi for the title song of Chandni and Kareena Kapoor in Dev.

Raaj Kumar's daughter Vastavikta identified as Shahid Kapoor's stalker

Shahid Kapoor, as we reported, has filed a complaint against his crazy fan who followed him all the time. She is a lady in her mid 30s and her name is Vastavikta Raaj Kumar. She is the daughter of veteran actor Raaj Kumar.
 Vastavikta made her debut in Bollywood in 2006 with Karan Razdan's supernatural film 'Eight Shani'. She played the character of a young girl who is born and brought up in London and who loses her parents in an accident. As per Police sources, Vastavikta used to stalk Shahid and follow him around for his shoots. She used to breach the security of his building and try to meet him.
 Vastavikta is a well-educated lady as she holds a degree in Arts from S.I.T Manhattan, New York.
 After finishing her degree course from New York, she took acting lessons under Vidur Sir and attended workshops with Satyadev Dubey and Shernaz Patel. She also learnt jazz under Shiamak Davar and went to Terrence Lewis classes.
