Shahid Kapoor Dating 'Rockstar' Girl Nargis Fakhri?

Shahid Kapoor did set tongues wagging when he was spotted celebrating his birthday with his group of friends and Nargis Fakhri in Goa and now sources claim that the two young actors are dating each other after a brief courtship.

A source close to the actors was quoted to have said, "Nargis spent a lot of time with Shahid in Goa. They were attracted to each other then and their friendship grew after returning to Mumbai. However, they started dating only recently."

In the past, Shahid Kapoor was linked to Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu whereas Nargis Fakhri was said to have been in a relationship with her Rockstar co-star Ranbir Kapoor.

Drunken Mika Singh misbehaved with Simran Mundi

It seems that pop singer Mika Singh likes to be talk of the town not for his music but for his behavior with girls at parties. Some years back, he targeted item girl Rakhi Sawant and now, it’s former Miss India Universe Simran kaur Mundi.
 According to reports, Simran was partying with her beau Sunny Gill where Mika join with his friends. If sources to believed, singer was completely drunk and kept picking up random arguments with people.

Sara Khan to play lead role in Ekta kapoor's DDLJ TV remake

After recent hits like Bade Acche Lagte Hain and Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada, Ekta Kapoor will now remake Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), one of the biggest Bollywood hits directed by Aditya Chopra, into a TV show for Zee.
The serial, tentatively titled Diya Mann will have Sara Khan play the lead role of Raavee, loosely based on Kajol’s character in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.


Though the plot will have an NRI family returning to India, there will be changes in the script of the serial to retain the interest of Television goers. Many shots for the serial will be shot in Punjab. Unlike Kajol in DDLJ, Sara Khan's character apparently will be an adopted child by an NRI family.

Sara Khan, who will play the role of Ravvee in the serial confirmed that she will be doing the Balaji serial. As per a leading newspaper, the serial is expected to go on air in April and is likely to replace Ram Milaayi Jodi (aired at 9:30 PM) or Choti Bahu (aired at 7:30 PM).

Aditya Chopra’s new production, Ishaqzaade, starring Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Parineeti Chopra has commenced shooting. The film is being directed by Habib Faisal – the director of the award-winning film Do Dooni Chaar and writer of the Yash Raj’s blockbuster, Band Baaja Baaraat that made a star out of Ranveer Singh. Ishaqzaade is a YRF style love story, explained thus by the makers: ‘Rising from the ashes of hooliganism and small town clan wars, comes the love story of a passion ignited by hatred. Two people. Born to hate. Destined to love.’ The film’s tagline goes: Ishaqzaade hain jitne fasano mein, milte hain kahan ab jahanon mein. The team: Hemant Chaturvedi (Company – 2002, Maqbool – 2004 and Kurbaan – 2009) is the DOP. Amit Trivedi (National & Filmfare Award for Dev.D and Filmfare Award for Udaan – 2010 and acclaimed musical score for No One Killed Jessica – 2011) is composing the music with lyrics by Kausar Munir (Tashan – 2008). Mukund Gupta, who won the award for Best Production Designer for Do Dooni Chaar, has been roped in. Aarti Bajaj (Do Dooni Chaar – 2010, Jab We Met – 2007, Dev.D – 2009, No One Killed Jessica – 2011, Rockstar – 2011, apart from several others) will be editing the film. Rekha and Chinni Prakash, National Award winners for Jodhaa Akbar and with a long list of outstanding achievements credited to their names over the years, are choreographing the film. And Sham Kaushal, greatly respected and much awarded for Krrish and Kaminey, is the action director.

 “We wanted to be true to the story. We made sure the scene was tastefully shot,” says producer Ekta Kapoor. Apart from this, there have been a few other serials which have been bold but they have not got the collective popularity which Bade Acchey Lagtey Hain has got, which is a big hit with the female population.

Viewers are also enjoying the change, and no one’s complaining. “We received just two-three complaints, but nothing significant,” says Naresh Chahal, secretary, Broadcasting Content Complaints Council, Indian Broadcasting Foundation. Incidentally the funny part is when Sunny Leone was in Bigg Boss, there was a lot of controversy even though the show did not have any form of intimacy but Sakshi Tanwar Ram Kapoor scene has been well received.
 Bade Acche Laggte Hain is the story of two strangers getting married and falling in love. Priya is in her 30s while Ram Kapoor is a rich man in his early 40s, who thinks he has missed out on marriage. Priya a happy go lucky woman, in her early 30s also feels that she will not be married ever. They bump into each othe through a minor car accident. After a series of misccomuncation and misunderstandings, destiny brings them close till both Ram and Priya get married.

Nupur Mehta to sue paper over matchfixing story

The British newspaper said on Sunday that Indian bookmakers, with the help of a Bollywood actress had been fixing the results of English County Championship matches and international games.
It said it had evidence that tens of thousands of pounds was being offered to players to throw part or all of international matches, including last year's World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan.
"The story carried by the newspaper, in which it has claimed that the ICC is investigating the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 semi-final between India and Pakistan, is baseless and misleading," ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat said in a statement.
"The ICC has no reason or evidence to require an investigation into this match.
"It is indeed sad for spurious claims to be made which only serve to caste doubt on the semi-final of one of the most successful ICC Cricket World Cups ever," Lorgat said.
One of the bookmakers cited in the report said at least two New Zealand cricketers were also involved in fixing matches.
Nupur Mehta, who has appeared in two films, said a picture used for the story, of a skimpily-clad woman with her faced blurred, was of her.
"All I can say is that the journalist from the Sunday Times must be completely in love with me to make me famous in India and New Zealand, and even in London itself," Mehta told Reuters by telephone on Tuesday.
Mehta, who said she had modelled in Paris and Milan before moving to Bollywood, said she was consulting a lawyer and would send a legal notice to the newspaper in the next day or two.
"I have no linkage with these kind of people," she said.
Match-fixing claims have haunted cricket, and former Essex bowler Mervyn Westfield recently became the first English cricketer to be jailed for corruption after admitting that he took money to fix a match against Durham in September 2009.
Last year, Pakistan players Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were also jailed in Britain for their role in a spot-fixing scandal involving a Test match against England at Lord's in August 2010.

On the brighter side, the model-turned-actress sported the same Hemant Trivedi gown she won the pageant in.
''Sarah was very nostalgic shooting for the scene since she was sporting the same gown Hemant designed for her and was very excited to be wearing it again for the film,'' adds the source.
