Sanjay Dutt has often played a police officer and the actor will continue to play one in his forthcoming too. We heard the actor has been signed for the remake of Tamil blockbuster Sammy.
 The original was directed by Hari but the Hindi version will be directed by a different director.Dasavathaaram fame K S Ravikumar has been roped in to direct the film. According to an industry source, apart from Sanjay Dutt, Ravikumaran wants to cast Amitab Bachchan for a negative role played by actor Kota Srinivasa Rao.
 The Hindi remake is yet to be titled and will commence by July. Director K S Ravikumar will soon finalize the rest of the cast and will shoot the film at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. The film is scheduled to release by this yearend.
